Jan-Dec 2025. If there is a specific date or season you know you want to get married, inquire about this on your wedding venue tour or through an inquiry.
Our venue can accommodate up to 150 guests. We recommend seating for 125 to be comfortable.
$3250.00 for Standard Wedding with $500.00 REFUNDABLE Security Deposit: Access to the venue for your rehearsal dinner scheduled Mon-Thurs before your wedding. 12 hours full access day of your wedding (10 am-10 pm) of the entire property (may purchase additional hours if needed at a rate of $350 per hour). Also includes the bridal Suite, tables, Chiavari chairs, set up (of tables and chairs, not decor), breakdown (tables and chairs only), and trash removal.
Wedding parties must purchase day-of-event insurance through Vensura. The average rate is about $200 and this is paid directly to Vensura, not 1881 Occasions. Clients may rent additional items such as table charges and linens at additional cost but is not required
No, 1881 Occasions does not require a food or beverage minimum at this time.
1881 Occasions can accommodate both wedding ceremony and reception. We have both indoor and outdoor options for the wedding ceremony.
The inside of the venue is a large long rectangular open space able to accommodate many different setups for round/rectangular tables and dance floor/DJ locations.
Yes, we offer both outdoor and indoor options to accommodate any inclement weather
150 Gold Chiavari chairs, 13-60” round tables, 20+ 8’ rectangle tables, 10 cocktail tables, trash removal services, set up/breakdown of chairs and tables (only).
All vendors must be licensed and insured with $1M/$2M general liability insurance. Proof of insurance must be provided no later than 21 days before the client’s event. Caterers and bartenders must add 1881 Occasions as additional insured to their policy for the event. 1881 Occasions provides a preferred vendor list upon booking
We have designated parking and areas close by that allow parking after business hours.
1881 Occasions operates according to local noise ordinates and curfews. We require music to end one hour before the end of the event, and no later than 10PM.
In general, cancellations on the client’s part are non-refundable. In the rare situation (hurricane or other catastrophe) 1881 must cancel the event, we will work with clients to secure the first available date conducive to the client’s needs. It is not required but highly recommended clients purchase their own cancellation insurance for their event
Yes, we have a fully functioning 1br/1ba home with a designated make-up space on site for the bridal party to get ready. There is currently no groom space available other than inside our main venue for the groom’s party to get ready
We suggest hotel options around Jax Airport or the Yulee, FL area for out-of-town guests.
Yes. The venue is fully ADA-compliant
We do not have a caterer on site, but you are welcome to choose your own vendor, or one from our preferred vendor list.
You can bring your own alcohol. All liquor must be served by an Insured Licensed Bartender (we have a list of preferred vendors if needed). The Bar closes 1 hour before the music has ended, all alcoholic beverages will be removed and placed in a secure location for removal from the premises. Alcohol may not be served to minors. Illegal substances are not allowed at any time on the premises. Drunken/Violent disturbances are prohibited and subject to immediate removal from the premises and possible termination of the event without refund.
You are welcome to bring your own décor. Decorations may not be hung with wire, nails, or screws in the Venue or bridal suite which could cause damage to the space. All decorations must be removed without leaving damages directly following the departure of the last guest unless special arrangements have been made between the Client(s) and the venue. All candles must be flameless. No confetti or glitter.
We open the Venue at 10:00 AM. You are always welcome to rent the night before (at an hourly rate) if you feel you would like more time to decorate. The rental night before is subject to availability
1881 Occasions does not currently provide an event planner or coordinator at the venue. You may bring your own coordinator or planner, or work with one of our preferred vendors.
We understand life happens and you may need to cancel, we will make every best effort to work with you. Our hope is to help you reschedule your date, but in the event of cancellation, all payments made to date (apart from the security deposit) are non-refundable. We understand that sometimes it is necessary to change or cancel a reservation. All cancellations or reservation changes must be made in writing. The guest is responsible for verifying that 1881 Occasions have received their cancellation letter. We cannot refund any advance payment for a canceled reservation unless the venue is re-rented for the entire period and the prepayment has cleared. We will make every effort to re-book the property; however, if it is not re-booked within a 12-month period, you forfeit all money paid.
1881 Occasions does not have any restrictions on photography or videography. Clients using drone footage must check with local aviation laws to determine time and height of drone usage.
There is no smoking permitted within the venue. Guests may smoke at a distance no less than 50 feet from any access door
Live music & DJ are permitted. Must bring/provide own equipment. Doors to the venue must remain closed at all times while music is being played.
Yes. A Mon-Thurs date is included with the wedding cost, which can be used for rehearsal or brunch.
We do not permit any activity/entertainment of lewd or lascivious nature. Specially-themed events operating outside the norm (i.e. weddings, birthday parties, reunions, etc) must be pre-approved by venue owners, and a complete itinerary of said event must be arranged.
We require day-of-event insurance. Vendors must be licensed and insured holding $1M/$2M general liability insurance. Proof of insurance must be provided no later than 21 days before the event. If you are serving alcohol, your bartender must be licensed and insured.
